This article was written in response to the invitation to participate in the Sixth Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions, to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 24-27 September 2001.
AHRC will be represented at this meeting by one of our partners in Sri Lanka.
